In our opinion, August is an elite month at the market 🙂‍↕️

The weather is starting to cool down, the demand for summer produce is at an all-time high, and the first week of the month is National Farmers’ Market Week! 🚜🌽🥬🍉

This Wednesday, children can:
🔍 Be Nature Detectives by exploring the natural world, discovering fascinating plants and insects, and learning how gardens help support pollinators and local wildlife
🎨 Ignite their imagination with a fun, hands-on art activity that encourages creativity, self-expression, and the joy of making something uniquely their own
🥔 Discover how potatoes were used to decorate wooden baskets made by the Native Americans of Saratoga at 3:30 PM

PLUS, every participating child ages 5–12 receives $4 in POP Coins to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from our farmers.

While you peruse, enjoy live music by Happenstance, or purchase something locally produced by one of the farmers, ranchers, bakers, or small business owners who help our community thrive! ❤️🧺🥖🧑‍🌾

🌽 The first Saturday of August is one of our favorite market days of the year. 🍅🍈

The harvest is at its peak, and our farmers are bringing the very best of the season. Think juicy melons, colorful heirloom tomatoes, sweet corn, crisp cucumbers, fragrant herbs, fresh flowers, artisan breads, award-winning cheeses, locally raised meats, and so much more.

While you shop, spend the morning enjoying live bluegrass, roots reggae, a Fresh Eats cooking demonstration featuring a refreshing Corn & Peach Salad, family activities with the Saratoga Springs Public Library's Mobile Library, and gardening advice from the Master Gardeners.

Every Saturday is a chance to fill your table with fresh food, support local farms, and connect with the people who grow, raise, bake, and make what you bring home.
