Power of Produce Club for kids
it's free and fun!
Pop Club at the Market
The Saratoga Farmers' Market's Power of Produce Club (POP Club) is a free, fun-filled program that helps children discover the joys of fresh food, healthy eating, and local agriculture.
Designed for children ages 5–12, POP Club takes place every Wednesday from 3–6 PM at the Saratoga Farmers' Market and features hands-on activities that make learning both engaging and exciting.
Throughout the season, children can participate in cooking demonstrations, gardening activities, scavenger hunts, crafts, farmer meet-and-greets, and interactive lessons focused on nutrition, wellness, movement, environmental stewardship, and agriculture.
One of the highlights of POP Club is the opportunity for children to build confidence around fresh fruits and vegetables. Through tastings, activities, and conversations with local farmers, kids are encouraged to try new foods, learn where their food comes from, and develop healthy habits that can last a lifetime.
Thanks to the generous support of the Christopher Dailey Foundation, POP Club is offered free of charge to participating families.
The 12-Week Program includes:
- Participating children receive a $4 POP Coin to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables from market vendors, empowering them to make their own healthy choices while supporting local farms.
- Children also receive a POP Passport and collect stamps throughout the season, earning prizes along the way for participation and exploration.
- The 2026 POP Club season runs from June 24 through September 9, offering families a welcoming space to learn, play, connect, and celebrate the abundance of the local growing season.
