What is your favorite element being part of the Saratoga Farmers’ Market?

We love being able to connect with our customers each week. Food creates connection and it’s so rewarding to know that we have a place at their table, whether it be for a simple breakfast or a big holiday meal.

We also value working with other vendors to incorporate local ingredients into our baked goods.

What a gift it is to be part of the amazing community within the Saratoga Farmers’ Market.

How many years have you been at the winter market?

This year is our third winter season.

Do you participate in the summer market?

Yes!

Do you have a favorite food?

I have never been able to pick a favorite food, but any meal shared with loved ones is at the top of my list. Food for me is about so much more than what it on your plate!

I recently participated in Wellness Week to chat with shoppers about some delicious Gluten Free eats, making some delicious toast topped options – check it out!

Special gluten free topped toast

Instructions:

  1. Toast your favorite sliced bread in a toaster or in a skillet on medium heat. We use Katie Bakes GF seeded multigrain bread.
  2. Spread a generous layer of goat cheese onto the toasted bread. We used Nettle Meadow goat cheese; they have a wide variety of delicious flavors.
  3. Add and arrange your toppings over the goat cheese.

A Sweet Combo: We enjoy Nettle Meadow fig and honey goat cheese with a layer of rhubarb jam from Kokinda Farm, topped with arugula from Lovin’ Mama Farm.

A Savory Combo: We like herb goat cheese, also from Nettle Meadow with a sprinkle of Little Somethin’ Somethin’ seasoning from Muddy Trail Jerky Company, pickled red onion from Puckers Gourmet all topped with micro greens from Lovin’ Mama Farm.

Of course, you can create and customize your favorite flavor combinations.

Serve, enjoy immediately while the toast is still warm and crisp.
