How it works
The market invites customers who do not have a means of composting on their own to bring their fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grinds, egg shells and other organic matter to us. Deposit your discards in our compost bins (ask at the market information stand if you cannot locate the bin), and they will be taken by one of our vendors to be composted and turned into new healthy soil.
- Composting is available at both the Wednesday and Saturday markets at High Rock Park.
- Wednesday’s compost is typically placed with a sign near the front of the market along the sidewalk.
- Saturday’s compost can be found at the Halfmoon Harvest; one of our vendors located on the South Lawn at High Rock Park (near the parking garage).
- All of our compost is volunteer supported at the market and greatly appreciated.
