New Year’s Eve Celebrations by Jodie Fitz
New Year’s Eve Celebrations are meant to start with the Saratoga Farmers’ Market because eating local is always on trend!
The menu, and theme, for any New Year’s Eve celebration has endless possibilities. Here are a few fun ideas to explore at the market;
Charcuteries: The markets is stocked with items to fill any charcuterie board, including themed boards. Local cheeses, meats, jams, breads, honey and snacks are abundant and make beautiful displays. Consider adding cooked appetizers to the board like this week’s recipe feature, Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms.
Make your own Pizza Bar: Line up the ingredients, power up the oven and let your family and/or guests make their own creations. You can find pre-made pizza crust and breads to serve as the base at the market along with cheeses, veggies (including fresh tomatoes and fresh basil that is hydroponically grown), meats and more.
Desserts Only: Enjoy pre-made desserts or find ingredients to create a dessert spread your guests will love. There are many delicious options to help keep your time factor at a minimum but entertaining at a maximum.
And, don’t forget the cocktails! The market hosts local wineries and distilleries where you can add that special touch to ring in the New Year.
