Marcie Place is the owner and baker at The Chocolate Spoon, a new business she started in 2011. In 2013, The Chocolate Spoon sells at Saratoga Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Chocolate Spoon features a variety of cookies in all shapes and sizes, as well as teacakes and cupcakes.
“I try to purchase local ingredients whenever possible, such as seasonal fruits and herbs,” notes Marcie, who frequently offers items such as Vanilla Lavender Shortbread, Rosemary Butter Cookies, and Blueberry Lemon Teacake.
