Community Supported Agriculture

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a unique collaboration connecting people to a local farm and farmer. When you become a CSA member, you agree to support the costs of running the farm in exchange for a share of the harvest. By contributing a membership fee in advance, you become a partner with the farmer in sharing some of the risk as well as the bounty of agricultural production.

Two of our vendors, the Denison Farm and Kilpatrick Family Farm, participate in CSA programs.

Market Manner Dogs

This popular program began in 2006 to help encourage well-behaved dogs at our outdoor market. Once per month on a designated Wednesday a trainer will be on hand to give helpful training tips and give the market manners dog tests. The dogs who pass the test become certified Market Manner Dogs and are eligible to get an organic dog biscuit on their visits to our market. Dog market manners matter at the Saratoga Farmers’ Market and we hope they do to you too. Bring your well-behaved pooch, shop the market, and then put your animal through the test so he/she can be a SFMA Market Dog. Find more details on this program at the market booth during market hours.
